City Notes vol. IV
City Notes is Axios Charlotte/Charlotte Agenda’s annual print guide to the city of Charlotte. During my time at Agenda, I led the production of City Notes vol. IV from start to finish. I art directed the issue (which we redesigned), wrote all of the ads, took or sourced all of the photos, assigned and edited the editorial pages, and I created and executed the roll-out strategy.
Launching a print product during the pandemic definitely posed some real challenges but despite COVID’s best efforts, I’m proud to say it was the most successful and profitable launch of City Notes to date. 🎉
City Notes landing page
Along with the physical print copy of City Notes, it’s also hosted on a landing page on charlotte.axios.com. I worked with our developer to create this page. I wanted it to have the same look and feel of the book. At launch, there was a button to enable users to purchase a physical copy. The landing page alone has over 120,000 views.
This is an example of one of the ad pages I wrote. I worked with each advertiser to write and approve their individual pages. I also took this photo:)
